Expert Air Conditioning Services
When the North Carolina summer humidity sets in, a broken air conditioner is more than an annoyance—it’s a disruption to your life.
AC Repair Near You
Is your AC blowing warm air, making a strange rattling sound, or freezing up on the hottest day of the year? Don’t sweat it. Our technicians arrive in fully stocked trucks ready to diagnose and fix the issue. We handle refrigerant leaks, blown capacitors, frozen evaporator coils, and failing blower motors quickly and transparently.
Affordable AC Installation and Replacement
If your system is over 10-15 years old, constantly breaking down, or using the outdated R-22 Freon, it might be time for an upgrade. When you hire Air Comfort AC for a new installation, we don’t just swap boxes. We perform a strict sizing calculation (Manual J) to ensure your new air conditioner is the perfect fit for your home’s square footage and sun exposure. An oversized unit will cool the house too fast without removing the humidity—a common mistake we fix all the time!
Dependable Heating & Furnace Solutions
While our summers demand our attention, the winter nights in Seven Lakes can get surprisingly bitter. You need a reliable heating system to keep your family warm.
Furnace Repair Near Me
Whether you have a gas furnace that won’t ignite, a cracked heat exchanger, or a heat pump that is stuck in “defrost” mode, our diagnostic process gets straight to the root of the problem. We service all major makes and models, ensuring your heating system is operating safely and efficiently.
Furnace Replacement
Looking to upgrade? We offer high-efficiency gas furnaces and modern heat pump systems. For many homes in Seven Lakes, heat pumps are the gold standard because of our relatively mild winters. However, if you prefer the deep, fast heat of a gas furnace, we provide seamless HVAC installation services tailored to your budget and comfort preferences.
Proactive HVAC Maintenance
The secret to avoiding a late-night emergency call? Routine care. Just like a boat or a golf cart, your heating and cooling system needs regular tune-ups.
Our comprehensive HVAC maintenance visits include:
-
Checking and calibrating the thermostat.
-
Deep cleaning the outdoor condenser coils (getting rid of those stubborn pine needles!).
-
Testing electrical connections, capacitors, and contactors.
-
Measuring refrigerant levels and checking for micro-leaks.
-
Inspecting furnace burners, heat exchangers, and flues for safety.
What Makes Seven Lakes HVAC Service Different
Most heating and air companies will treat a home in Seven Lakes the exact same way they treat a home in a concrete subdivision in Raleigh. But our local environment requires a different approach. Here is what we look for when servicing your home:
-
The Longleaf Pine Problem: Seven Lakes is beautifully wooded, but those longleaf pines shed thousands of pine needles. These needles are notorious for getting sucked into your outdoor AC condenser, wrapping around the fan blades, and clogging the aluminum fins. This restricts airflow and causes the compressor to overheat. When we perform HVAC maintenance, we meticulously clear this debris to save you from a premature breakdown.
-
Sandy Soil and Sinking Pads: We live in the Sandhills, which means the soil around your foundation is incredibly sandy. Over time, heavy outdoor AC units can cause their concrete or plastic pads to sink or tilt. An unlevel unit strains the refrigerant lines (causing leaks) and wears out the compressor bearing. We always check your pad level during a service call.
-
Lake-Effect Humidity: Homes sitting directly on Lake Auman, Lake Sequoia, or Lake Echo deal with distinct micro-climates. The higher ambient moisture can infiltrate your crawl space and home. We don’t just fix temperatures; we ensure your AC is properly extracting humidity so your home feels cool and crisp, not clammy.
